Get to Know the History of One of Alaska’s Greatest Tree Care Service Teams

Greatland Tree Service was started in 1999 in Anchorage, AK, by David VanDehey. When we started, we focused on removing beetle-infested spruce trees in the Anchorage Bowl for the Anchorage Fire Department. Since then, we've continually improved and expanded our business and now service properties statewide, but we've always remembered our roots. Our goal starting out was to provide our customers with quality services at a fair price, and it's still the cornerstone of our business today. Whether you need a little pruning done, a lot cleared for a new building site, or a trail cut into a remote work site, we can do that effectively and at a competitive price. Safety is also crucial at Greatland Tree Service. Our employees have extensive training in safety techniques to ensure that when we climb your trees, we climb to OSHA standards and cut using ISA standard practices. This ensures that everything comes down safely to prevent damage to structures and landscaping, even during windstorms and foul weather.

For our clients who want trees planted, we work with local nurseries to help ensure that they get suitable trees for the soil conditions and sunlight levels in your area and that the desired compliment to your landscaping is achieved.
